THE ROCKFIELD Centre now has benches and picnic tables forming a great new sitting out area. Fusion Marine supplied the garden furniture and generously donated one of the benches to Oban Communities Trust.
Caroline Boswell, who is leading the Grounds Group for The Rockfield Centre said: ‘We are very grateful to Fusion Marine for this donation and already the benches and tables are enjoying good use when the weather is clement. Being recycled plastic, they will not be as affected by the weather and we hope they will be in use for many years by both visitors and the local community.’
Funding for the benches was part of the grant award from Stalled Spaces and Argyll and Bute Community Partnership’s Health & Wellbeing Fund.
Fusion Marine is one of the world’s leading suppliers of fish farming equipment and in recent years has diversified its range of operations which include bespoke outdoor solutions for the leisure industry including garden furniture.
Alan Forsyth of Fusion Marine said: ‘We are delighted to be able to help Oban Communities Trust and The Rockfield Centre and hope the picnic bench we have donated will be well used by everyone.’
Meanwhile clearing of the grounds at The Rockfield Centre is making good progress and a work party is held every Thursday evening at 6pm. Volunteers are always welcome!
